space pirates.

This was kind of brought about because I am playing The Secret of Monkey Island, but only in the sense that you're "trying to become a pirate" in the game. I have always found pirates fascinating and not in the way of Elizabeth Swan, see Pirates of the Caribbean. I do not want to become a pirate, I can be a wuss and can not see myself pillaging. BUT sword fighting and drinking, sounds like an okay job, plus if you ask most people I am probably surly and snarky enough to do it. Also, as much as I want to be on a boat or on water, in general, what intrigues me more are space pirates. Space pirates, well get to be in space, and I was never good at physics so being an astronaut was never going to happen. Space pirates do basically the same thing as "water pirates",  but they seem more hygienic, maybe not as much as we're used to, but more is more. They also seem to have guns, not swords, I think I would change that, I don't like guns, swords are much cooler, though I still would not be comfortable killing. And where am I getting the gun idea? Probably just from Firefly and originally Tenchi Muyo!, so just because they were space pirate cowboys, not to be confused with Space Cowboys, does not mean I have to. Wow, maybe I do fall victim to too many forms of mass media.

monkeys.

I don't know why, but I love the word "monkey". It's not even so much about the animal, don't get me wrong though, I love the animal too. It is not a zoo trip without a stop at the monkey cages, it's not Donkey Kong without a monkey (an ape, whatever, primate isn't as fun to say - actually hmm... no wait I'm losing my train of thought) and without Donkey Kong, well Mario (Jumpman) wouldn't be so popular and Professor Farnsworth wouldn't be so confused, "Monkey's aren't donkeys, quit messing with my head!"
Actually, to tell you guys the truth, I have never put this much thought into why I may like the word. Honestly, I can not even remember where or when it started, all I know is I say "monkey" for everything. You know it's funny what got me thinking on this tonight has nothing to do with any of the above reasons, I have been reading a lot about the game series Monkey Island. I have linked to what this game is, but pretty much I grew up playing this game and it is being "reborn". I'm not blaming video games for my obsession with the word "monkey", but it does seem to play a sentimental role, don't you think?
You may be wondering, "She says "monkey" for everything, what does that even mean?!" Well, it means what I said, ask me something I don't know the answer to, if i'm in any state of goofy, happy, or tired mood you will 98% of the time get that word out of me.
"How much were you paying attention?" "What movie do you want to watch?" "Let's do something." "Ever wonder why I call you the weirdest person ever?"

Exactly. Monkey.
